Coaching is the best solution when you have a team of sales people with very diverse experience and knowledge. Every person is different and will have different weaknesses. Coaching focuses only on what that individual needs to change. It is targeted and results-driven. And creates immediate and noticeable change. 

The McKinnon Behavioural Profile
If the person does not know what they need to do to improve, we start with the McKinnon Behavioural Profile which identifies strengths and weaknesses in selling. This identifies specifically what needs to be coached. This evaluation may be then be followed with coaching to support the change.

Recruiting Successful Sales People
The McKinnon Behavioural Profile is also used to confirm that you are about to recruit a strong, proactive and successful sales person, or a person who can be trained to become a successful sales person.

It is very difficult in an interview to distinguish between a good passive customer service person and a proactive sales person. They both say the same things, both look after the customer to the max. But one will go hunting for new clients and close the sale, the other will wait for customers to arrive, and be concerned about being “pushy”.
